This is the season for making ume (Japanese apricot) liqueur.

It’s not only very delicious but also really good for your health enjoying it a little before your supper.

Three more monthes are required to enjoy it.

Recipe

Japanese Apricot: 1kg

Sugar candy: 500g

Liquor: 1.8 l

Bottle for 5 l: 1

  • Pour a little boiled water into a bottle for your ume (Japanese apricot) liqueur to sterilize it.

  • Wipe the inside of the bottle up with a towel and dry off perfectly.

  • Wash apricots well, wipe with a towel and dry them well.

  • Pick the stem end away carefully.

  • Put a half of apricots into the bottle.

  • Put a half of sugar candy on the apricots.

  • Put the rest of apricots into the bottle.

  • Put the rest of sugar candy into the bottle.

  • Pour the liquor into the bottle.
